Last year, for many of us there were no public July 4th celebrations. (Thanks, Covid) This year with the state opening back up, many areas are offering Independence Day festivities and fireworks! Here’s a list of where to watch this year!
Please note many of the viewings are not allowing pedestrian access to avoid large crowds.

Friday, July 2nd – Free parking and viewing is available at the University of Delaware Athletic Complex lots, to watch Fireworks at the University of Delaware Athletic Complex. (Cars only no pedestrian seating) See the event’s Facebook page for details.
Sunday, July 4th – Silver Lake Park @ Dusk (park is closed during viewing) Visit the town’s website for details

Saturday, July 3rd – Independence Day parade @ 9:30 a.m. starts at Smyrna Elementary
Sunday, July 4th – Fireworks @ Dusk from James T. Vaughn Sr. Little League Park, Duck Creek Parkway- Parking will be available at Smyrna High School and Smyrna Middle School. The band Party Fowl will perform before the fireworks. Food trucks will be available at the high school.
Saturday, July 3rd – Milton Theatre will host an Independence Day Picnic and Dance Party at its outdoor venue Quayside. Doors open @6PM. You can bring your own chairs or reserve picnic tables or Adirondack chairs. For More info visit Eventbrite
Sunday, July 4th – Fat Daddy’s BBQ & Grille will host a free concert and fireworks @9:15 PM Parking is $5. Mike Hines and The Look will perform from 7 to 10 p.m.
Sunday, July 4th – the 287th Army Band will perform @ 7:30 p.m.
Monday, July 5th – Fireworks will launch from the beach off Wellington Parkway at 9:15 p.m. Love Seed Mama Jump will perform at the Bandstand before the fireworks at 7:30 p.m
Sunday, July 4th – Highway One will host a fireworks display launching from a barge in Rehoboth Bay in front of the group’s businesses northbeach and Ivy
Sunday, July 4th – Fireworks will be launched from a barge off Lewes Beach at dusk. People can watch the display anywhere on the beach between Roosevelt Inlet and Cape Henlopen State Park, but the fireworks will also be visible from many spots in town.
Saturday, July 3rd – Music @ 8PM Fireworks @ 9:30PM The display will be set off south of Rehoboth Avenue and is visible up and down the beach and boardwalk
